XAIR Performance specialises in the manufacture of Over The Radiator Cold Air Intakes for Commodore and has been manufacturing this type of product for over 11 years.
2010-2015 5th Gen Camaro runs the same Chassis/Engine/Driveline platform as VE/VF Commodore except the Radiator Cap is in the centre instead of offset to one side. Utilising the proven XAIR VE/VF OTR Intake Body design we redesigned it with a recess in the bottom to allow the factory radiator cap to sit up inside. The recessed area is protected and insulated by Dynaliner Anti Heat Transfer Material. There are two OTR models to suit both the 2010-2011 Model and new 2012-2015 Model Radiators.
We have designed the XAIR Camaro OTR to run with The Factory Airbox Top Intake MAF Pipe housing. The MAF Pipe section is inserted between the OTR Neck and Throttle Body. Fuel Trims were well within Factory Spec without Tune so simply bolt on the OTR to get instant gains in Power and Torque as above plus Save Money on Fuel... We've seen an instant saving of 2 Litres/100km, more with a Tune!
The Standard OTR Kit comes with Silicon Attachment Hoses & Stainless Steel Hose Clamps for installing with the MAF Pipe. Also includes Powder Coated Alloy Brackets to Tilt the Radiator Back and Breather Line Extension Hose.
There is also a pre-drilled hole in the back of the OTRCAI Body with rubber bung for plug in of the separate Air Temp Sensor if Tuning MAFLESS. The OTR can also be supplied with Mafless Attachment Hose Kit for no extra cost, please choose MAF In or MAFLESS when ordering.

The main advantage over other OTRCAI 's is the Venturi effect created by the top shape of the XAIR OTR Body combined with the Filter Size. A massive voluime of Cold Air from in front of the Radiator is rammed/sucked straight through the filter then channelled directly up and around the curved top section creating a Venturi effect and forcing its way into the Throttle Body.
The XAIR OTR has the largest air filter panel on the market, the filter size is 460mm x 180mm. Extensive testing and research has proven that the larger the area, the less restriction & servicing required. This also makes them ideal for head & cam modified cars etc.

Proven gain of 22kw (30hp) Power / 20Nm (15Ft-lb) Torque At The Rear Wheels (28kw/38hp at Engine) on a 2012 Manual LS3 Camaro over Standard as a straight Bolt On (No Tune)!
After an ECU Tune the Camaro made a total gain of 32kw (43hp) Power / 41Nm (31Ft-lb) Torque At The Rear Wheels over standard! Thats approximately 40kw (54hp) / 51Nm (39Ft-lb) at the Engine.
Customer is very very happy. He commented straight away after driving the car it's totally different car powerwise but the most impressive difference is in the instant throttle response and mid range power.
CAMARO V8 ECU TUNING
The XAIR OTRCAI Body has been designed to create a Venturi effect and Ram Cold Air in. Combined with the High Flow Green Filter this means that your car is receiving a lot more volume of cold air than was ever intended hence a lot more power and torque is being made.
Even though our Manual LS3 Test Car Factory Fuel Trims were fine with no Tune on some models the factory computer settings may be exceeded. On some of the AFM (Active Fuel Management) cars settings can also be effected which could possibly trigger an engine check light if doing a lot of open road or motorway crusing.
If any of the above is happening then we recommend you take your car to a reputable tuning company and get the Computer settings modified.
As you can see from our Dyno Results to make the most out of the OTRCAI a full MAF or MAFLESS Dyno Tune should always be done wherever possible. Expect a significant gain at the wheels again plus better fuel economy over just bolting on the XAIR OTRCAI. Add Headers and Exhaust to further increase Performance (See our Camaro Power Upgrade Packages).
REPLACEMENT FILTER / CLEANING KIT
Depending on driving conditions (exposure to dirt/debris/mud etc) with regular cleaning the XAIR OTR Green Filter should last up to 100000km. Order Replacement Green Filters and Cleaning Kits Separately.
